My main man Chainsaw turns 32 today!
So happy birthday to the guy with the big arms, my crazy mountain climbing show off.
In other news, I finished the birthday present. Here is Felix modeling, wishing he had a more manly version for himself:
I made it from a part wool sweater that I dried accidentally on purpose. You know how sometimes you're in a hurry, so you throw everything in the dryer thinking it will be ok just this once? Well it wasn't okay. It is ok now though, in hat form. The cables made it look extra cool!
I made it a cute flower out of felt, fuchsia woven ribbon(I can't think of what that stuff is called, some kind of tape maybe?), and a sweet vintage button. I'm a little in love. I think I want to make one for myself. If only I had another one of those sweaters!
I have also been trying my hand at some applique. I made some adorable zippered pouches yesterday. I don't have pictures yet (I have to have something to post tomorrow, right?), but here's a sneak peek of one that I scanned for fun.
Stay tuned for more!
