A trash bag never looked so good

Felix and I happened into the thrift store, you know THE THRIFT STORE. Lo and behold, they were having a $5 trash bag sale. I've heard wonderful stories about such occurrences, but it's never happened to me until today. I found one sweater and a skirt (that i need to try on) for myself, but the rest of the bag was filled with neckties and shirts/jackets to cut up for projects.

I found this in the pocket of a coat I bought. I made the image huge so you can read it. The coat belonged to someone who saw Hook in 1981 for $3.50, which is more than the cheap theater I like to go to these days!

I also found this adorable little suitcase for $1. I thought it would be great for Felix, either to play with or store books or toys in his room. We were putting it upstairs, and he said "hey mom, take a picture of me like I'm walking out the door." Then he pretended to leave me forever!

It's been real, mom!

Can I admit something to you? My carpet is kind of dirty. Some fool sheds hair and drags thread all over the house. I used the touch up tool to clean Felix's carpet! haha! I'd also like ya'll to know that Felix dresses himself pretty much every day, and he is very into matching and coordinating. I think he likes wearing an open over shirt to mirror me wearing cardigans.

Anyway, I convinced him to move back home by telling him I'd have to keep his new horse picture for myself if he was moving out.

Felix loves to see horses and colts out in the country, and he wanted this for his room immediately. It's hand drawn with ink and painted with watercolors. I can say that with certainty because the artist wrote it on the back. Who takes such a nice gift to the thrift store? I don't know, but I'll pay $1 for original art fo sho!
